We made the Papers!
On our "Casa Ana" walking holiday (http://www.casa-ana.com/) we were fortunate to be joined by two English Journalists. Jon Clarke is a wit, celebrity food expert and published author. In addition he is the proprietor and CEO of "The Olive Press" , the local expat paper (http://www.theolivepress.es/). Tom Powell, the other reporter, is cutting his journalistic teeth on everything from predatory expat con men to our walking holiday in the Alpujarras.
Here is a picture of both of them together with another celebrity, Ilyana, a prize winning Moldovan folk singer.
I thought Tom's story captured the combination of camaraderie and landscape that made this trip so memorable. I am so glad that he wrote it up because I really do not think I could have done justice to the experience. Here is the link:

I can only add a few random photos from the trip:

The approach to "El Valero"
Nobody took a dip in the pool - could have been something to do with the frogs and snakes!
